About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Lead Procurement Analyst to spearhead their data-driven procurement initiatives. This fully remote role is central to optimising spend, enhancing supplier performance, and informing strategic sourcing decisions. You will be responsible for developing advanced analytics, creating insightful reports, and mentoring junior analysts within the procurement function. This is a key leadership position where you will leverage data to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness across the organisation, working collaboratively with teams across different locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced spend analytics and reporting frameworks for the procurement function.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, risk reduction, and process improvements through data analysis.
- Collaborate with category managers and buyers to provide data-driven insights for sourcing strategies.
- Create dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and supplier performance.
- Mentor and guide junior procurement analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and data literacy.
- Stay abreast of market trends and best practices in procurement analytics and technology.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Procurement Analyst or in a similar analytical role within supply chain or purchasing.
- Strong expertise in data analysis, modeling, and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL).
- Experience in developing and managing spend analytics databases and reporting systems.
- Excellent understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with experience managing remote teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Business, Finance, or a related field.
