Lead Product Designer

About the Role

Our client is searching for an experienced and innovative Lead Product Designer to join their growing product team in Bristol . You will play a critical role in defining the user experience and visual design of their core digital products, leading the design process from concept to launch. This position requires a strong understanding of user-centered design principles, a passion for creating intuitive and delightful user interfaces, and the ability to collaborate effectively with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders. We are looking for a leader who can mentor junior designers and drive design excellence within the organization, contributing to a culture of creativity and user advocacy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design process for new product features and improvements, from research and ideation through to high-fidelity prototyping and final UI.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and market analysis to gather insights that inform design decisions.
• Create wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for web and mobile applications.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive design systems and style guides to ensure consistency and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams to ensure design feasibility and successful implementation.
• Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering their professional growth and promoting best design practices.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in product design or UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating product design leadership.
• Expertise in user research, user-centered design methodologies, and interaction design.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
• Experience designing complex web applications and mobile experiences.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field.
