Lead Project Manager - Infrastructure Development

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Lead Project Manager to oversee major infrastructure development projects in Birmingham . This strategic role requires a leader capable of managing multiple concurrent projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of these projects, from initial planning and feasibility studies through to construction, handover, and operationalization. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects, ensuring all objectives are met.
• Manage project budgets, resource allocation, and vendor contracts to optimise cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
• Develop and implement robust risk management strategies to mitigate potential project impediments.
• Coordinate activities between internal engineering teams, external consultants, and construction contractors.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards throughout project phases.
• Provide regular, detailed progress reports to executive management and key stakeholders, highlighting achievements and any challenges.

Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in project management , specifically within the infrastructure or construction sectors.
• Demonstrated success in managing projects with budgets exceeding £10 million.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, engineering principles, and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams and manage complex stakeholder engagements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
