About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Lead Project Manager to spearhead their project management function in Coventry . This senior position involves overseeing a portfolio of projects, mentoring junior project managers, and ensuring the strategic alignment of all project activities with the company's overarching goals. You will play a crucial role in defining project management standards and driving operational excellence across the business unit, championing best practices in project delivery within the West Midlands.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of multiple concurrent projects.
• Establish and maintain robust project management frameworks, processes, and documentation standards.
• Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to a team of project managers, fostering their professional growth.
• Manage complex stakeholder relationships, including executive-level engagement, to ensure alignment and buy-in.
• Oversee resource allocation and capacity planning across project teams in Coventry .
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the project management office (PMO).

Requirements

• Extensive experience (7+ years) in managing large-scale, complex projects, with a significant portion in a lead role.
• Demonstrated expertise in various project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with a proven ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Experience in managing cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholder groups.
• Relevant advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., PMP, PgMP) is essential.
