Lead Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

Our client requires a proactive and detail-oriented Lead Quantity Surveyor to manage all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects in Coventry . You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed within financial targets by managing budgets, contracts, and payments. This senior role demands excellent negotiation skills and a deep understanding of construction contracts and financial management. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit bills of quantities , tenders, and cost estimates for projects.
• Manage contract administration, including variations, claims, and final accounts.
• Monitor project expenditure, providing regular financial reports to senior management.
• Negotiate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favourable terms.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with contract specifications.
• Provide commercial advice and support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Qualified Quantity Surveyor with a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Extensive experience in a senior Quantity Surveyor role within the construction industry.
• Thorough knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts .
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Excel.
