About the Role

Our client is seeking a distinguished Lead Renewable Energy Policy Advisor to join their globally recognised team. This is a fully remote position that offers the opportunity to influence the direction of renewable energy policy at national and international levels. You will be responsible for researching, analysing, and advising on policy frameworks that support the growth and integration of renewable energy technologies. Working from anywhere in the UK, you will engage with governments, industry bodies, and NGOs to shape a sustainable energy future. This role requires strategic thinking, exceptional analytical skills, and a deep understanding of the energy landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research and analysis of current and proposed renewable energy policies and regulations.
• Develop policy recommendations and position papers to advocate for supportive market mechanisms and incentives.
• Engage with policymakers, regulators, and industry stakeholders to present research findings and influence policy development.
• Monitor international trends and best practices in renewable energy policy and deployment.
• Provide expert advice and strategic guidance on policy matters to internal teams and external partners.
• Lead collaborative projects with research institutions and think tanks focused on energy policy innovation.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in Public Policy, Economics, Law, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in energy policy analysis, advocacy, or advisory roles, with a specific focus on renewable energy .
• Demonstrated expertise in policy development, legislative processes, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, research, and written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information.
• Strong understanding of various renewable energy technologies and their market integration challenges.
• Proven ability to work effectively independently in a fully remote capacity .
