About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Reservoir Engineer to join their esteemed team in Reading . This position is central to the economic evaluation and development of oil and gas assets, requiring sophisticated reservoir characterization, simulation, and forecasting skills. You will lead reservoir studies, guide development strategies, and mentor junior engineers, playing a crucial role in maximizing hydrocarbon recovery and value. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of reservoir management plans for key assets.
- Conduct advanced reservoir simulations to analyze performance, forecast production, and evaluate development scenarios.
- Perform volumetric calculations, reserve assessments, and economic evaluations for new and existing fields.
- Identify opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and optimize production strategies accordingly.
- Mentor and guide junior reservoir engineers, fostering technical growth within the team.
- Collaborate with geologists, drilling engineers, and production engineers to integrate subsurface data and optimize field operations.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 9 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering , with a focus on simulation and field development.
- Expertise in reservoir simulation software (e.g., ECLIPSE, CMG) and data analysis tools.
- Proven ability to perform reserve estimations and economic evaluations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
