A bit about the role

As a Lead SAP Finance Consultant, you will play a critical role in shaping and delivering complex SAP S/4 Finance solutions for our clients. This is a strategic, client‑facing position where you will act as a trusted advisor - leading solution design, influencing finance transformation roadmaps, and guiding clients through on‑premise and cloud (public and private) SAP landscapes.

You will combine deep finance process expertise with strong delivery leadership, supporting pre‑sales engagements, defining best practices, and mentoring consultants across the practice. Module experience across FI/CO is essential, with additional exposure to PS, Treasury, and JVA considered a strong advantage. This role is suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic consulting environment, balancing delivery, relationship management, and practice development.

What you’ll be doing

Key responsibilities of this role include:

• Lead full lifecycle delivery of SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions across FI/CO, including AP, AR, GL, AA, CO and associated sub‑modules.
• Own end‑to‑end solution architecture across core Record‑to‑Report and period‑end processes.
• Run discovery, Fit‑to‑Standard, explore, and design workshops with senior finance stakeholders.
• Configure, test, and quality‑assure SAP Finance components in collaboration with technical and integration teams.
• Lead cutover planning, data validation, and hypercare support during go‑lives.
• Lead pre‑sales activities including solution design, demos, commercial input, and RFP/RFI responses.
• Present compelling, well‑structured finance transformation solutions to prospective and existing clients.
• Mentor and coach junior and mid‑level consultants, supporting their development and capability growth.
• Contribute to developing reusable assets, templates, and accelerators to strengthen the delivery model.
• Participate in proofs of concept, pilots, and strategic initiatives to prepare the practice for future projects.

What we’re looking for

Essential Experience

• Extensive SAP Finance consulting experience, including S/4HANA implementation experience
• Deep hands‑on configuration skills across FI/CO (AP, AR, GL, AA) with strong understanding of end‑to‑end R2R processes.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Fiori apps, embedded analytics, and S/4HANA standard reporting tools.
• Experience delivering cross‑module integrations (MM, SD, PS) within complex programme environments.
• Proven experience leading workstreams or acting as a functional lead on major programmes.
• Strong grounding in SAP Activate or equivalent delivery methodologies.
• Demonstrable experience shaping and presenting SAP Finance solutions during pre‑sales activities.
• Ability to build compelling client presentations, demos, and value propositions.
• Ability to simplify complex technical/financial concepts for senior stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills at senior levels.
• Proactive, structured, and quality‑focused approach, able to run complex engagements independently.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across clients.
• Collaborative mindset with the maturity to influence outcomes and drive best practice.

Desirable Experience

• Exposure to Treasury (TRM), Joint Venture Accounting (JVA), or extended Project Systems capabilities.
• Experience across public cloud Finance or hybrid cloud landscapes.
• Experience building reusable assets, accelerators, and templates within a consulting practice.
• Previous involvement in proofs of concept, pilots, or innovation initiatives.
• Consulting experience within multi‑client, multi‑industry environments.
• Experience delivering cross‑module integrations (MM, SD, PS) within complex programme environments.
