Lead Security Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Lead Security Architect to establish and guide their security architecture strategy from their office in Stoke-on-Trent . This pivotal role will involve designing secure solutions, defining security standards, and ensuring that security is embedded into the fabric of the organization's IT infrastructure and applications. You will work on complex security challenges, collaborating with senior leadership and technical teams to build a resilient and secure environment. This is an on-site position for an expert in security design and strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-wide security architecture , frameworks, and standards.
• Develop strategic security roadmaps and technology selection criteria.
• Provide architectural guidance and oversight for security-related projects and initiatives.
• Assess emerging threats and technologies to ensure the security architecture remains current and effective.
• Collaborate with IT operations, development, and business units to ensure security requirements are met.
• Lead security reviews and threat modeling sessions for new systems and applications.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in information security, with a significant focus on security architecture and design.
• Deep understanding of network security, cloud security, application security, and cryptography.
• Proven ability to develop and implement comprehensive security strategies and policies.
• Experience with security governance, risk management, and compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
