Lead Security Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Lead Security Architect to join their technology division in Leeds . This senior position is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of secure enterprise-level architectures that protect against a wide range of cyber threats. You will define security requirements, create architectural blueprints, and guide engineering teams in building resilient and scalable security solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure enterprise architectures, ensuring alignment with business objectives and security best practices.
• Define security requirements and standards for new systems, applications, and infrastructure projects.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions to address emerging threats and business needs.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to security engineers and IT teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop security roadmaps and strategies, ensuring a proactive approach to risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the business.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in information security, with a significant focus on security architecture and design.
• In-depth knowledge of security principles, frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, SABSA), and technologies.
• Experience with cloud security architecture (AWS, Azure) and securing hybrid environments.
• Strong understanding of network security, application security, data security, and identity and access management.
• Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and leadership skills.
