About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Lead Security Architect to establish and guide their security architecture strategy. This role, based remotely, will be instrumental in designing, building, and maintaining a secure, resilient, and scalable infrastructure that protects the organisation's digital assets. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to embed security into the core of all technical solutions. This is a critical position for an expert architect who thrives on solving complex security challenges and shaping the future of information security for a forward-thinking company.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and document secure enterprise-level network, cloud, and application architectures.
- Define and enforce security architectural principles, standards, and guidelines across the organisation.
- Evaluate emerging security technologies and recommend their adoption where appropriate.
- Lead threat modeling exercises and provide expert guidance on mitigating identified risks.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure security is integrated throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to security engineering and operations teams.
- Ensure security architectures align with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- 10+ years of experience in information security, with at least 5 years in a security architecture or design role.
- Extensive experience in designing and implementing security solutions for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Deep understanding of network security, identity and access management (IAM), cryptography, and application security.
- Proven ability to translate complex business and technical requirements into secure architectural designs.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
