Lead Security Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Lead Security Architect to spearhead the design and implementation of cutting-edge security solutions, working entirely remote . This senior role is responsible for defining the enterprise security architecture, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and mitigates complex risks. You will guide technical teams, influence security strategy, and drive the adoption of secure design principles across the organisation. Key Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the enterprise security architecture vision, strategy, and roadmap.
• Design secure solutions for cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and on-premises infrastructure.
• Provide expert guidance and technical leadership on security best practices and secure coding standards.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and methodologies to enhance the overall security posture.
• Collaborate with engineering, IT, and business stakeholders to embed security into system designs from inception.
• Lead security reviews and threat modeling exercises for critical systems and applications.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in information security , with at least 5 years in a security architecture role.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing security controls for complex, distributed systems.
• Deep understanding of cloud security, network security, application security, and identity & access management (IAM).
• Experience with security frameworks, compliance requirements, and risk management principles.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with experience managing remote teams.
