Lead Security Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Lead Security Architect to design and implement robust security solutions for their organization, operating on a remote-first basis with proximity to Reading . This senior role involves defining the enterprise security strategy, architecture, and standards to protect critical assets and data. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT infrastructure, application development, and business units, to ensure security is embedded throughout the technology lifecycle. This is a crucial leadership position for an experienced architect passionate about building secure and resilient systems in a flexible, remote environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the overall enterprise security architecture roadmap.
• Establish security standards, guidelines, and best practices for cloud and on-premises environments.
• Evaluate and select appropriate security technologies and solutions to address emerging threats.
• Collaborate with engineering and development teams to ensure security is integrated into system designs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to security engineers and analysts.
• Conduct security reviews of proposed solutions and architectures to ensure alignment with security policies.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in information security, with a significant focus on security architecture .
• Proven experience designing and implementing complex security solutions in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Deep understanding of network security, identity and access management, data security, and application security.
• Expertise in security frameworks and relevant regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant architectural certifications such as CISSP-ISSAP, TOGAF, or cloud security certifications are highly preferred.
