About the Role
Our client is seeking a visionary Lead Smart Contract Engineer to spearhead their smart contract development initiatives in Coventry . This critical position involves leading a team of talented developers in designing, implementing, and auditing secure and efficient smart contracts for various blockchain applications. You will play a key role in shaping the technical direction of their Crypto & Blockchain products, ensuring the integrity and security of all deployed contracts. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of blockchain security principles, a track record of successful smart contract deployment, and the ability to mentor and guide a high-performing engineering team within a rapidly evolving sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of high-quality, secure smart contracts on various blockchain platforms.
- Oversee and conduct rigorous security audits and formal verification of smart contract code to prevent vulnerabilities.
- Develop and maintain technical standards and best practices for smart contract development and testing.
- Collaborate with product, design, and other engineering teams to integrate smart contracts into larger applications and ecosystems.
- Mentor and manage a team of smart contract engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence.
- Research and implement new security patterns and development techniques within the Crypto & Blockchain space.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Smart Contract Engineer or Blockchain Developer, with a significant focus on smart contract development.
- Expertise in smart contract programming languages such as Solidity, Vyper, or similar.
- Demonstrated experience with security auditing tools, formal verification methods, and common smart contract vulnerabilities.
- Strong understanding of blockchain architectures, token standards (e.g., ERC-20, ERC-721), and DeFi protocols .
- Experience leading technical teams and managing project lifecycles.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
