Lead Smart Contract Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished Lead Smart Contract Engineer to guide their talented engineering team in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire . In this leadership position, you will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of smart contract development, from initial design and specification to deployment and ongoing maintenance. You will mentor junior engineers, set high standards for code quality and security, and ensure that our client's decentralized applications are built on a secure and efficient foundation. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of secure and efficient smart contracts .
• Mentor and guide a team of smart contract developers, fostering best practices and a culture of quality.
• Establish and enforce coding standards, security protocols, and testing methodologies for smart contract development.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and architects to define smart contract specifications and features.
• Perform rigorous security audits and code reviews to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to smart contract execution and blockchain integration.

Requirements

• Significant experience in developing production-ready smart contracts , particularly using Solidity.
• Demonstrated experience in leading a team of software engineers.
• Expertise in blockchain security principles and common vulnerability patterns.
• Strong understanding of EVM and various blockchain protocols.
• Experience with development tools like Hardhat, Truffle, and testing frameworks.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
