Lead Smart Contract Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Smart Contract Engineer to spearhead their smart contract development efforts in Manchester . You will lead a talented team, setting technical direction and ensuring the creation of secure, efficient, and robust smart contracts for a variety of decentralized applications. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of complex smart contracts on platforms like Ethereum and EVM-compatible chains.
• Establish and enforce high standards for smart contract security, code quality, and auditing processes.
• Mentor and guide a team of smart contract developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
• Collaborate with product teams to translate requirements into secure and efficient smart contract logic.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in smart contract languages, tools, and security vulnerabilities in the blockchain space .

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years focused on smart contract development .
• Deep expertise in Solidity and experience with other smart contract languages (e.g., Vyper, Yul).
• Strong understanding of blockchain architecture, cryptography, and decentralized application patterns.
• Experience with security auditing tools and methodologies for smart contracts.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and managing complex development projects.
