About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Lead Smart Contract Engineer to spearhead the development of secure and efficient smart contracts for their innovative blockchain projects based in Cardiff . Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of secure, high-quality smart contracts on various blockchain platforms.
• Establish and enforce best practices for smart contract development, including coding standards, security audits, and testing methodologies.
• Review and audit smart contract code written by team members, identifying and mitigating potential vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define smart contract requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior smart contract engineers, fostering their technical growth and skill development.
• Contribute to the overall blockchain architecture and strategy, ensuring scalability and performance.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, with a strong specialization (3+ years) in smart contract development.
• Expertise in Solidity and experience with other smart contract languages (e.g., Vyper, Rust for Solana).
• In-depth knowledge of blockchain security principles, common vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.
• Demonstrated experience with decentralized application (dApp) architecture and development.
• Familiarity with blockchain testing frameworks (e.g., Hardhat, Truffle) and development environments.
• Experience leading development teams and managing project lifecycles.
