About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Lead Software Architect to guide the design and implementation of their cloud-based solutions in Bristol . You will be responsible for defining technical vision, setting architectural standards, and ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of their software systems. This critical role requires a deep understanding of cloud technologies and a proven ability to lead complex architectural initiatives from conception to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the architectural vision for the company's cloud-native applications and infrastructure.
• Lead the design of scalable, resilient, and secure cloud solutions on platforms like AWS or Azure.
• Establish architectural best practices, patterns, and guidelines for software development teams.
• Collaborate with engineering leaders, product managers, and stakeholders to align technical strategy with business objectives.
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to enhance the technology stack.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to senior engineering staff.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a software architect role.
• Deep expertise in designing and implementing solutions on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Strong understanding of microservices, serverless computing, containerization, and related technologies.
• Proven experience with various architectural patterns and design principles for large-scale systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence technical direction.
