About the Role
Our client, a prominent enterprise software provider in Nottingham , is seeking a strategic and experienced Lead Software Architect . You will be responsible for defining the technical vision and architectural roadmap for large-scale enterprise solutions. This role involves guiding development teams, making critical technology choices, and ensuring the design and implementation of systems that are scalable, secure, and maintainable. You will work closely with business stakeholders and product management to align technical strategies with business objectives, driving innovation and excellence in software development across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and document the overall architecture for enterprise-level software systems.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to software development teams.
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools for development.
- Ensure adherence to architectural standards, best practices, and non-functional requirements.
- Collaborate with product management and business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical designs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in software development, with at least 5 years in a software architecture role.
- Proven experience designing complex, scalable, and high-performance enterprise applications.
- Deep understanding of software design patterns, architectural styles (e.g., microservices, SOA), and system integration.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
