About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and forward-thinking Lead Software Architect to guide their technology strategy and development efforts in Liverpool . Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the overall software architecture for the company's products and platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Lead the design of complex systems, focusing on scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.
- Establish and enforce coding standards, design patterns, and best practices across engineering teams.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve development processes and product capabilities.
- Collaborate with engineering leads and teams to provide technical guidance and resolve architectural challenges.
- Conduct architectural reviews, identify technical debt, and develop strategies for mitigation and modernization.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; PhD is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in software development , with at least 5 years in a software architect or lead technical role.
- Proven track record in designing and implementing large-scale, distributed systems and microservices architectures.
- Deep understanding of various architectural styles, design patterns, and cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Expertise in multiple programming languages and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with experience in a hybrid environment.
