About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Software Engineer to guide their development team in Wolverhampton . You will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of complex software solutions, ensuring adherence to high standards of code quality, performance, and scalability. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strong leadership skills, and a passion for mentoring engineers and driving best practices within the team. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and architecture of software solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Oversee the development process, ensuring adherence to coding standards, best practices, and project timelines.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level software engineers, fostering their technical and professional growth.
- Collaborate with product management and stakeholders to define project requirements and technical specifications.
- Implement and champion automated testing strategies and CI/CD pipelines.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience (7+ years ) in software development, with a significant portion in a lead or senior role.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages and technologies (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript ).
- Strong experience with software architecture patterns , design principles, and development methodologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and database technologies (SQL/NoSQL).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
