About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Lead Software Engineer to join their technology team based in Edinburgh . This role involves leading a team of developers in designing, building, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will play a crucial part in defining technical direction, mentoring team members, and ensuring the successful delivery of software projects. Key Responsibilities

• Lead a software development team, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and code reviews.
• Design and implement scalable, robust, and maintainable software architectures.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code using best practices and industry standards.
• Oversee the development lifecycle, including planning, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#) and relevant frameworks.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, design patterns, and architectural principles.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
