About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Structural Engineer to join their growing team in Manchester . This role offers a hybrid working model, combining the benefits of remote flexibility with essential in-person collaboration. You will take a lead role in the design, analysis, and management of structural engineering projects, ensuring the integrity and safety of building structures. You will mentor junior engineers, review designs, and liaise with clients and other consultants to deliver innovative and efficient structural solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the structural design process for a variety of building projects, from concept to completion.
- Perform complex structural analysis and calculations using advanced engineering software.
- Review and approve designs prepared by other engineers and technicians, ensuring quality and compliance.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior members of the structural engineering team.
- Collaborate effectively with architects, clients, and other project stakeholders to achieve project goals.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations across the UK .
Requirements
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a closely related field.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or working towards it.
- A minimum of 10 years' experience in structural engineering design, with significant project leadership experience.
- Expertise in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, or similar.
- Strong understanding of steel, concrete, and masonry construction methods and materials.
