Lead Subsea Installation Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Lead Subsea Installation Engineer to manage complex offshore installation projects from their offices in Derby . This strategic role involves planning, coordinating, and executing the installation of subsea structures, pipelines, and equipment. You will work closely with engineering, project management, and marine operations teams to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective deployment in challenging offshore environments. The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of knowledge in subsea installation methodologies, marine vessel operations, and risk management, playing a pivotal role in the successful delivery of major offshore energy projects and upholding the company's reputation for operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed offshore installation procedures and work sequences for subsea hardware.
• Oversee the execution of installation campaigns, including vessel mobilisation, positioning, and lifting operations.
• Conduct pre-installation analysis and risk assessments, developing mitigation strategies for potential hazards.
• Coordinate with marine operations, project management, and fabrication teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards during installation activities.
• Manage installation interfaces with drilling, pipeline, and production operations.

Requirements

• Degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in subsea installation engineering and offshore project execution.
• In-depth knowledge of subsea equipment, marine construction vessels, and offshore installation techniques.
• Experience with 3D modelling and simulation tools for installation planning.
• Strong project management, leadership, and communication skills are essential.
