About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Telecoms Field Engineer to spearhead their technical operations in Coventry, West Midlands . In this critical role, you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of advanced telecommunications systems and infrastructure across various client sites. You will lead a team of field engineers, ensuring adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of field engineers, providing technical guidance, training, and performance oversight.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and testing of telecoms equipment , including fiber optic networks, mobile base stations, and related infrastructure.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in the field, ensuring minimal disruption to client services.
- Develop and implement best practices for field operations, safety procedures, and quality control.
- Liaise with clients, project managers, and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of field service processes and tools.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in a field engineering role within the telecoms sector , with proven leadership capabilities.
- Strong technical knowledge of wireless technologies (e.g., 4G, 5G), fiber optics, and associated network hardware.
- Proficiency in network testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Experience managing project timelines, resources, and on-site teams effectively.
- Valid UK driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the region.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
