Lead Telecoms Network Operations Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Telecoms Network Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of their critical network infrastructure in Leeds . This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the highest levels of network availability, performance, and security. You will lead a team of skilled network engineers and technicians, driving operational excellence and implementing strategies for continuous improvement. This is a key position within the organisation, offering the chance to shape network operations and contribute to the stability and growth of the business from our Leeds base.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and lead the Network Operations Center (NOC) team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Oversee the monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the company's telecommunications network 24/7.
• Develop and implement operational procedures, incident management processes, and disaster recovery plans.
• Ensure network performance meets or exceeds established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Collaborate with engineering and planning teams on network upgrades, capacity planning, and new service rollouts.
• Manage vendor relationships and contract performance for network-related services and equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Over 8 years of experience in telecoms network operations , with at least 3 years in a management or team lead role.
• Extensive knowledge of network monitoring tools, performance metrics, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Proven experience with incident management, change control, and problem management frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
• Strong understanding of various network protocols and technologies, including IP networking and routing.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning abilities.
