Lead Telecoms Operations Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Telecoms Operations Manager to oversee the operational excellence of their network infrastructure in Manchester . In this critical role, you will lead a team responsible for the day-to-day management, maintenance, and performance of our telecommunications services. Your focus will be on ensuring high availability, efficient resource utilization, and continuous improvement of operational processes. This hybrid role allows for strategic leadership from our Manchester hub, combined with flexibility for remote work, fostering a productive and balanced work environment within a rapidly evolving industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the network operations team, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
• Oversee the implementation and execution of network maintenance schedules and incident response procedures.
• Monitor network health and performance metrics, developing and reporting on KPIs.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service quality.
• Manage vendor relationships and service level agreements (SLAs) for network support and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and company policies.

Requirements

• Proven experience in managing telecommunications network operations, preferably in a leadership role.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including fiber optics, mobile networks, and IP services.
• Demonstrated experience with operational support systems (OSS) and network management tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in budget management and resource allocation.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model, balancing on-site collaboration with remote work capabilities.
