Lead UI/UX Designer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an imaginative and strategic Lead UI/UX Designer to guide their user interface and user experience efforts in Stoke-on-Trent . You will be responsible for shaping intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing interfaces for their diverse range of products. This role involves leading a team, defining design standards, and collaborating closely with product managers and developers to ensure a cohesive and exceptional user journey. Your expertise will be vital in translating user needs and business goals into seamless and delightful interactive experiences, setting the benchmark for user-centric design within the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the UI/UX design process from concept to implementation, ensuring user-centered design principles are applied.
• Develop wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity visual designs for interfaces across various platforms.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform design decisions.
• Establish and maintain a consistent design language and style guide for all user interfaces.
• Collaborate effectively with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure design feasibility and alignment with project goals.
• Mentor and guide junior UI/UX designers, fostering a culture of creativity and best practice.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in UI/UX design , with proven experience in a lead or senior role.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user interface design, interaction design, and user research methodologies.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision.
• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles and usability best practices.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly.
• Experience in designing for web and mobile applications is essential.
