About the Role
Our client is looking for a visionary Lead UI/UX Designer to join their established studio in Portsmouth . You will be responsible for defining and executing the user interface and user experience strategy across all their projects, ensuring intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing interactions. This leadership role involves guiding a team of designers, collaborating closely with product management and engineering, and championing user-centered design principles throughout the development process. Your expertise will be critical in shaping how users interact with our products and ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of intuitive and engaging user interfaces (UI) and user experiences (UX).
- Develop user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for complex applications.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform design decisions.
- Establish and maintain UI style guides, design systems, and best practices across projects.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to ensure design feasibility and effective implementation.
- Mentor and guide a team of UI/UX designers, fostering a culture of creativity and excellence.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in UI/UX design, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior capacity.
- Proven track record of designing successful user interfaces for complex digital products.
- Expertise in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
- Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and interpreting data.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills to articulate design concepts in Portsmouth .
