Lead UX/UI Designer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and strategic Lead UX/UI Designer to join their product development team in Edinburgh . In this role, you will be responsible for crafting intuitive and engaging user experiences across all digital platforms. You will lead the design process from concept to implementation, collaborating closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate user needs and business goals into elegant design solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design process for digital products, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity UI design.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive design system and style guides.
• Conduct user testing and gather feedback to iterate and improve designs.
• Collaborate effectively with product, engineering, and marketing teams to ensure design consistency and usability.
• Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative design culture.
• Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and executive leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong portfolio showcasing digital product design.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, usability best practices, and accessibility standards.
• Experience leading design projects and mentoring other designers.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions.
