Lead UX/UI Designer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Lead UX/UI Designer to guide their design team in Cambridge . This critical role involves setting the strategic direction for user experience and interface design across all their digital platforms. You will mentor a team of talented designers, ensure design consistency, and drive the creation of intuitive, engaging, and aesthetically pleasing user interfaces. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design process for complex digital products, from user research and wireframing to high-fidelity prototyping and UI design.
• Mentor, guide, and inspire a team of UX/UI designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing design culture.
• Develop and champion design standards, style guides, and design systems to ensure consistency and scalability across all touchpoints.
• Collaborate with product management, engineering, and other stakeholders to define product strategy and translate requirements into effective design solutions.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
• Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders and executive leadership.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design, with a significant portion in a leadership or lead role.
• A strong portfolio showcasing a deep understanding of user-centered design, interaction design, and visual design principles, particularly for complex applications.
• Proven experience in leading and mentoring design teams.
• Expert proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex design ideas clearly.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
