Lead UX/UI Designer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary and user-centric Lead UX/UI Designer to guide their product design efforts in Derby . You will be responsible for defining the user experience and interface design for their digital products, ensuring they are intuitive, engaging, and aesthetically pleasing. This role requires a deep understanding of user-centered design principles, a strong portfolio showcasing successful product designs, and the ability to lead and mentor a team of designers. You will translate complex user needs into elegant solutions, driving innovation and ensuring a cohesive and exceptional user journey across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the UX/UI design process from concept to implementation, including user research, wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity mockups.
• Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and component libraries to ensure consistency across products.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform design decisions.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define product strategy and features.
• Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a culture of design excellence and continuous learning.
• Present design concepts and solutions effectively to stakeholders at all levels.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of experience in UX/UI design , with a significant portion in a lead or senior capacity.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user research, interaction design, and visual design for digital products.
• Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or InVision.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, accessibility standards, and responsive design.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
