Lead UX/UI Designer

About the Role

Our client, a forward-thinking tech company situated in Coventry , is searching for a talented Lead UX/UI Designer to spearhead their product design initiatives. You will be responsible for crafting intuitive, engaging, and visually appealing user experiences for their suite of digital products. This role is crucial for defining the user-centric design direction, leading a team of designers, and collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to bring innovative solutions to life, enhancing user satisfaction and driving product adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design process from concept to execution, creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for web and mobile applications.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform design decisions and iterate on existing products.
• Establish and maintain design systems, style guides, and best practices to ensure consistency across all product interfaces.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into seamless user experiences.
• Mentor and guide junior designers, fostering a collaborative and creative design team environment.
• Present design concepts and rationale effectively to cross-functional teams and leadership.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in UX/UI design, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior capacity.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and InVision.
• Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional UX/UI design skills, user-centered design principles, and a deep understanding of interaction design.
• Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and translating findings into design improvements.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and experience working in cross-functional teams.
