About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Lean Manufacturing Engineer to drive continuous improvement within their facility in Bristol . This role is essential for optimizing production processes, eliminating waste, and enhancing overall operational efficiency. You will be responsible for implementing Lean principles and tools, fostering a culture of improvement, and collaborating with teams to achieve ambitious performance goals. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and sustainment of Lean Manufacturing principles across the shop floor, including 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Kanban.
- Identify and eliminate waste in all forms (muda) within production processes, driving cost reductions and efficiency gains.
- Conduct process analyses and time studies to identify opportunities for improvement and establish benchmarks.
- Develop and implement standardized work procedures and best practices to ensure consistency and quality.
- Train and coach employees at all levels on Lean concepts and problem-solving techniques.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure successful integration of Lean initiatives in Bristol .
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in implementing and managing Lean Manufacturing programs.
- Proven expertise in Lean tools and methodologies, with a track record of achieving significant improvements.
- Experience with Kaizen events and continuous improvement projects.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to lead change and motivate teams towards a common goal.
