Lean Manufacturing Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Lean Manufacturing Engineer to drive continuous improvement initiatives at their facility in Liverpool . This role is central to fostering a culture of efficiency and waste reduction across all operational areas. You will be instrumental in identifying opportunities for improvement, implementing lean tools and methodologies, and coaching teams to adopt best practices. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate Kaizen events and other lean initiatives to identify and eliminate waste in production and administrative processes.
• Develop and implement value stream maps to visualize material and information flow and identify improvement opportunities.
• Train and coach employees at all levels on lean principles, tools, and problem-solving techniques.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the progress and effectiveness of lean initiatives.
• Standardize work procedures and best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency across operations.
• Support the implementation of 5S programs and workplace organization initiatives to create a more efficient and safer working environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience specifically focused on lean manufacturing implementation.
• Certified Lean Practitioner or equivalent experience is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of successfully implementing lean tools such as 5S, VSM, Kanban, and Poka-Yoke.
• Strong facilitation, coaching, and change management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
