About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Lean Manufacturing Specialist to drive continuous improvement initiatives at their facility in Nottingham . You will be instrumental in implementing Lean principles and methodologies across all areas of production to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize workflows. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work closely with on-site teams while also having flexibility for remote work. Your expertise will be crucial in fostering a culture of operational excellence within our client's manufacturing operations, based out of Nottingham .
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate Lean Manufacturing projects, including Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and 5S implementation.
- Analyze production processes to identify waste (muda) and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce lead times, improve throughput, and enhance product quality.
- Train and mentor employees at all levels on Lean principles and tools.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of Lean initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Lean practices into daily operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Lean Specialist or in a similar role focused on continuous improvement in manufacturing.
- In-depth knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, tools, and techniques (e.g., Kanban, Poka-Yoke, JIT).
- Experience with Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
