Who we need

Nottingham College is seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated Electrical Skills Trainer to support the delivery of our Level 3 City & Guilds Electrical provision, including technical training, practical skills development and apprenticeship support.

This role will focus on developing apprentices and learners competence across electrical installation, maintenance, inspection, testing, fault diagnosis, electrical principles and safe working practices.You will work closely with lecturers, assessors, employers and curriculum leaders to ensure learners develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to progress successfully within the electrotechnical sector.

The successful candidate will support delivery linked to City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installation / Electrotechnical qualifications, including apprenticeship routes aligned to the Installation and Maintenance Electrician standard.The role is intended to strengthen practical skills delivery, workplace readiness and progression into skilled employment.

This opportunity is idealif you are an experienced electrician, electrical maintenance technician, workplace assessor or trainer looking to share your knowledge and inspire others.Youll work closely with apprentices, employers and colleagues to deliver high-quality training across workshop, classroom and workplace settings, while maintaining strong professional standards and a focus on health and safety.With your industry experience, strong communication skills and commitment to developing others, youll play a key role in helping learners achieve full occupational competencesupported by opportunities to gain teaching or assessing qualifications if you dont already hold them.
