Key Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred support tailored to the specific needs and preferences of individuals with learning disabilities.
• Assist clients with daily living tasks, including personal care, household chores, and managing appointments.
• Support individuals to engage in meaningful activities, hobbies, and community participation.
• Promote independence and self-advocacy, empowering clients to make their own choices.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of care provided and any observations.
• Work collaboratively with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure coordinated support.

Requirements

• Previous experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and understanding demeanour.
• A commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and complete mandatory training.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
