Our client is seeking compassionate and proactive Learning Disabilities Support Workers to join their dedicated team in Leeds . Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centred support tailored to the individual needs and preferences of clients.
- Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care, household chores, and community access.
- Encourage and support clients in developing life skills, pursuing hobbies, and engaging in social activities.
- Administer medication as prescribed and accurately record all administration.
- Monitor and report on clients' progress, well-being, and any changes in their condition.
- Work collaboratively with families, advocates, and other professionals to ensure cohesive care.
Requirements
- Previous experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse individuals.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to support others.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and occasional sleep-in duties.
- Must possess or be willing to obtain a valid DBS check .
- Full UK driving license may be an advantage for some roles in the Leeds region.
