About the Role
Our client is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Learning Disability Support Worker to join their team in Cambridge . This role involves providing essential support to individuals with learning disabilities, helping them to lead fulfilling and independent lives. You will work closely with clients, offering assistance with daily living activities, promoting social inclusion, and supporting their personal development. This hybrid role offers a blend of direct client support and remote administrative tasks, providing a dynamic and rewarding career path in social care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalised support to individuals with learning disabilities in their daily lives.
- Assist clients with personal care, domestic tasks, and community access.
- Support clients in developing life skills, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
- Facilitate social and recreational activities to enhance client well-being and inclusion.
- Maintain accurate records of support provided and report any concerns to management.
- Collaborate with families, advocates, and other professionals to ensure holistic care.
Requirements
- Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities is highly desirable.
- A positive attitude, patience, and strong communication skills.
- Understanding of person-centred care principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a supportive team.
- Willingness to undertake training and develop new skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including some evenings and weekends, as part of a hybrid arrangement.
