About the Role
Our client is seeking dedicated Learning Disability Support Workers to join their remote support team, serving individuals across the Brighton and surrounding areas. This role is crucial in empowering individuals with learning disabilities to lead fulfilling and independent lives within their own communities. You will provide bespoke support, fostering independence, promoting social inclusion, and ensuring the dignity and well-being of each individual. Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalised support to individuals with learning disabilities, assisting with daily living activities, personal care, and household tasks.
- Develop and implement individualised support plans that promote independence, choice, and inclusion.
- Facilitate engagement in community activities, hobbies, and social opportunities.
- Offer emotional support and encourage positive behaviour, acting as a consistent and reliable presence.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of support provided and client progress.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, support networks, and external professionals.
Requirements
- Previous experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities is highly desirable.
- A patient, compassionate, and understanding approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage your own schedule effectively.
- Commitment to promoting independence and rights of individuals.
- Willingness to undertake relevant training and qualifications.
