Learning Experience Designer (UX for Education)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Learning Experience Designer to create intuitive and engaging digital learning environments for their users in Nottingham . This role blends principles of User Experience (UX) design with instructional design and educational best practices to craft seamless and effective learning journeys. You will be responsible for user research, interaction design, and prototyping digital learning solutions that are both educationally sound and highly user-friendly. Key Responsibilities

• Design and prototype user interfaces and interaction flows for digital learning platforms and applications.
• Conduct user research, including interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to gather insights into learner needs and behaviors.
• Translate learning objectives and user needs into engaging and effective learning experiences.
• Collaborate with instructional designers, developers, and product managers to implement learning solutions.
• Develop wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes to communicate design concepts.
• Ensure designs meet accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and adhere to pedagogical best practices for user engagement .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Instructional Design, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in UX/UI design , with a focus on digital products or learning experiences.
• Strong portfolio showcasing experience in designing user-centered digital products and interfaces.
• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch).
• Understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories is highly desirable.
