Learning Support Assistant - North London Secondary Schools

Must hold an Enhanced DBS

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and committed Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join the SEND and Inclusion team at our welcoming secondary school in North London.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, the SENCO and pastoral staff to support students with a range of additional needs, helping them to access the curriculum, develop confidence and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students with SEND. Support pupils to access lessons and participate fully in the curriculum. Work alongside teachers to adapt learning activities and resources where appropriate. Support students with needs including autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and language difficulties and learning difficulties. Encourage positive behaviour, independence and emotional wellbeing. Deliver targeted interventions and support literacy, numeracy and study skills. Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback to teachers and the SEND team. Build positive, professional relationships with students while maintaining appropriate boundaries. Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Previous experience working in a school or with children and young people is desirable, although enthusiasm, commitment and the right attitude are equally important.
