Learning Support Assistant - Vale of Glamorgan | Full-Time
Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant looking for a full-time role in the Vale of Glamorgan? Academics are currently recruiting for Learning Support Assistant opportunities across a range of local primary schools, with schools regularly coming to us for experienced support staff.
We have strong relationships with schools across the Vale of Glamorgan, including Barry, Penarth, Rhoose and Cowbridge. If you're available 5 days a week and looking for consistent work within a primary school, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you could be supporting pupils across a range of primary school settings. Responsibilities may include:
Supporting pupils with their learning and development Providing 1:1 and small-group support where required Working alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging activities Supporting pupils with ALN/SEN and different learning needs Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence and independence Supporting classroom routines and preparation Helping pupils access the curriculum Building positive relationships with pupils and staff Creating a safe, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment Following school safeguarding and behaviour policies
We're Looking For
The ideal Learning Support Assistant will have:
Previous experience working as an LSA, TA or similar role Strong experience within a primary school setting A genuine passion for supporting children's education Excellent communication and teamwork skills A patient, caring and adaptable approach The ability to build strong relationships with pupils Full-time availability - 5 days per week A reliable and committed attitude
