Location: Staines, Middlesex Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 08:00?–?15:30 Salary: Paid to scale

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our vibrant school community in Staines. Working closely with teachers and specialist staff, you will help create an inclusive, supportive environment that enables all pupils to achieve their full academic potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group assistance to pupils with identified learning needs.
• Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and classroom strategies under teacher guidance.
• Support classroom management, preparing resources, and monitoring progress.
• Foster a positive, respectful atmosphere that promotes confidence and independence.
• Record observations and communicate student progress to teachers and parents.
• Assist with the use of assistive technologies and adaptive equipment.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

• GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics.
• Experience working with children, preferably in an educational or support setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to build rapport with pupils and staff.
• Good organisational abilities and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to child welfare.

Desirable

• Level 2 or higher qualification in Learning Support, Special Educational Needs, or related area.
• Experience with SEND frameworks and differentiated instruction.
