About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly specialised Leasehold Enfranchisement Specialist to join their established property law firm in Edinburgh . This critical role requires an expert in leasehold law, particularly in dealing with lease extensions, collective enfranchisement, and right to manage claims. You will manage a caseload of complex enfranchisement matters, providing expert legal advice to leaseholders and freeholders alike. Key Responsibilities

• Manage a full caseload of leasehold enfranchisement matters, including lease extensions and collective enfranchisement claims.
• Provide expert legal advice and strategic guidance to leaseholders and freeholders on their statutory rights and obligations.
• Conduct negotiations with opposing parties and their legal representatives to achieve fair settlements.
• Prepare and lodge necessary legal documents, applications, and tribunal notices.
• Stay abreast of all relevant legislation, case law, and industry best practices concerning leasehold property.
• Liaise effectively with clients, surveyors, valuers, and other relevant professionals involved in enfranchisement cases in Edinburgh .

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with significant experience in leasehold enfranchisement law.
• In-depth knowledge of the Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993 and subsequent legislation.
• Demonstrated experience in handling complex enfranchisement claims and negotiations.
• Excellent client care, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively within a busy caseload.
