Legal Assistant - Real Estate

About the Role

Our client is seeking an organised and diligent Legal Assistant to join their dedicated Real Estate department in Glasgow, Scotland, UK . This role is fundamental to supporting the fee earners in handling a variety of property transactions, from initial client contact to completion. You will be instrumental in ensuring efficient case progression and high standards of client care. Working within a supportive and experienced team, you will contribute to the firm's reputation for excellence in property law within Scotland , benefiting from a structured office environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist solicitors with the preparation and execution of property transaction documents.
• Conduct Land Registry searches and other necessary property-related inquiries.
• Manage client communication, including scheduling appointments and responding to queries.
• Organise and maintain client files, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
• Support the team with administrative tasks, including document management and correspondence.
• Prepare and issue bills of costs and process client payments.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar administrative role within a legal practice.
• Familiarity with property law procedures and terminology.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and legal practice management software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and client-focused approach.
• Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively within a team environment in Glasgow .
