Legal Counsel - Commercial Contracts

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel with a specialization in Commercial Contracts to join their established team, offering a fully remote working arrangement. In this role, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of all commercial agreements, ensuring they are legally sound, compliant, and strategically aligned with business objectives. You will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders across various departments to support commercial negotiations and mitigate contractual risks. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced contracts lawyer to leverage their expertise in a remote capacity, contributing to a leading organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of a wide spectrum of commercial contracts, including master service agreements, partnership agreements, and licensing deals.
• Advise business units on contractual interpretation, risk assessment, and dispute resolution strategies.
• Develop and maintain standard contract templates and playbooks to streamline the contracting process.
• Ensure all contractual activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Provide guidance on procurement and vendor management from a legal perspective.

Requirements

• Qualified Solicitor or Barrister with extensive experience in commercial contract law.
• A minimum of 6 years' experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
• Strong understanding of legal principles governing sales , services, and intellectual property.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal clients.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a high volume of work in a remote setting.
