Legal Counsel - Commercial

Our client, a fast-growing and innovative technology scale-up, is looking for a commercially minded Legal Counsel with 2-5 years PQE to join a dynamic and growing legal team. Reporting directly to the Group General Counsel, you will play a crucial role in a fast-paced, innovative business. The legal team is based in London and manages the company's worldwide legal operations across the UK, Europe, South America and Australia.

Key Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts, including wholesale and other sales agreements
• Reviewing and advising on risks in supplier contracts
• Drafting and negotiating NDAs
• Supporting and advising the sales, marketing, engineering and customer care teams
• Managing consultancy agreements and employment legal support
• Advising on privacy and data protection matters
• Advising on SaaS agreements
• Managing external counsel across multiple jurisdictions
• Delivering company training and providing compliance support (policies, legal updates)
• Assisting with corporate matters (board and shareholder resolutions and company secretary)

What We're Looking For

• English qualified (essential) solicitor with 2-5 years PQE, with a commercial, tech or corporate law background and training from a US or City firm (indicative PQE, open to candidates with relevant experience)
• In-house experience is beneficial but not essential
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with excellent knowledge of contract law.
• A proactive self-starter with a hands-on approach
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
• Organised and commercially focused mindset
• A team player willing to pitch in and support colleagues
