About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on technology-related matters, including software licensing, SaaS agreements, and data protection (GDPR, CCPA).
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial contracts, particularly those with a technology or intellectual property component.
• Manage and protect the company's intellectual property portfolio, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights.
• Advise on cybersecurity risks, incident response, and related legal compliance.
• Support product development teams by identifying and mitigating legal risks.
• Stay abreast of emerging legal trends and technologies impacting the tech industry.

Requirements

• Admitted to practice law with a minimum of 5 years' experience, with a significant portion focused on technology and IP law.
• Proven expertise in drafting and negotiating complex technology contracts.
• Solid understanding of data privacy regulations, cybersecurity laws, and IP protection strategies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide clear, concise advice.
• Self-motivated with exceptional organizational skills to manage a remote workload effectively.
• Experience working with distributed teams and utilising virtual collaboration tools.
